The owner of Pet-Pro started his career in the pet industry by founding a dog training business in Oakland, California in 1977. The company specialized in the training of protection dogs and family pets. The business was a far cry from his childhood spent working sheep dogs in his native New Zealand.
In 1980, the owner opened Pet-Pro San Rafael, and in 1990, Pet-Pro Mill Valley. Our business model is to provide quality pet food and supplies and simultaneously offer helpful advice to ensure our pets fit in with the busy schedules we Marinites live. The owner still lives in Marin with his family and 85-pound dog, George.
We were one of the first locally-owned pet stores in the Bay Area without pets, focused solely on the best pet food and supplies. We pride ourselves on having experienced and knowledgable staff and our goal is to provide both competitive pricing and personal service.
